Cave Story: The Roleplay Character Application

Cave Story: The Roleplay takes place on a mysterious floating island, where it's inhabitants are anything but ordinary. From gremlins to angels, a whole assortment of creatures inhabit this floating island, and while some of the inhabitants want to live in peace, some want to see the island fall to the Earth below.

This RP is set 100 years after the main character, Quote, and his partner Curly Brace, saved the island from destruction by defeating the mad magician Ballos, who's death brought peace and tranquility to the island for it's inhabitants. Mimigas, anthropomorphic bunny like creatures who were once on the verge of extinction by the hands of The Doctor, have repopulated the island, and have established towns in various zones within it. During this exploration, androids, much like Quote and Curly Brace were discovered and activated, and protected the Mimiga...until one day, when a human known only as "General" came to the land and turned all of the currently active androids against the populous.

Now, the island is a warzone, with android, Mimiga, and even wild creatures trying desperately to gain control over the island. But you're not here for that, are you? Surely you just want to escape the conflict entirely and make a new life for yourself on earth? Regardless, welcome to the Island, welcome to hell.

White skinned soldiers created by mankind to replace flesh and blood soldiers, the androids on the island now are a century old, but are no less powerful than they were before. Being able to survive massive falls and take damage that a normal human wouldn't be able to take, androids are a force to be reckoned with. However, androids, due to their heavy weight and human parts, can drown if submerged underwater for too long, and are unable to swim properly. Also, they must rely entirely on weaponry found in the field, as they are only trained with weapons created in the last century.

Mimiga's are naturally small and agile creatures, who's knowledge of the land aids them in guerilla warfare, though they usually try and avoid combat as much as possible to try and preserve their habitat. Mimigas eat flowers to survive, but a certain color of flower, red flowers, force them to become horrid monsters, such as this.

Not only that, but the Mimiga always dies after eating the red flowers, so they are kept hidden away from the world to make sure that this never happens to any of them. Mimigas have advanced their technology in the past hundred years, now able to use guns in combat instead of swords, but some still stick to their roots, and some may even profit from this exorcise, as a blade never runs out of ammunition.

Name: Arrietty

Physical Description:
Her hair is down to her shoulderblades and blonde.
Personality: She is level-headed and somehow able to have a cheery nature despite the atmosphere around her. When she's serious, she's serious and she has an unbreakable spirit.
Weapons: Solar Flare (gun: at power level one it shots a single orb of light; at level two it shoots a powerful beam of light or, if the trigger is held for an extended period of time, it shoots a larger and more powerful orb; and finally at level three it shoots a huge, destructive beam of light), Sword (at level one it's a normal sword; at level two it glows and can send a shockwave of light a short distance by slashing [similar to a psycho-cut sorta thing]; at level three it glows as if it made of light and can shoot a stronger double-shockwave)

I would comment on how her bright personality wouldn't really fit in this kind of envorionment, but then again, you fight a purple mushroom as a boss, so Arrietty's accepted in that aspect, but her personality seems a bit small, could you maybe add a bit more to it. Also, I know you say you're going to describe it later, but could you please describe Solar Flare now, thank you Foxy!

Name: Shino
Age: Not sure how the aging works.. whether its human like or not.. but fairly young. She has yet to learn how to use her weapons to their fullest potential and is still fairly immature when it comes to the seriousness of war and fighting.
Race: Mimiga
Gender: Female
Physical Description: Shino is a small young Mimiga with snowy white fur. Her ears are rounded to a point at the ends instead of just cutting off in a straight line. Her tail is also longer and has a fluffy tip. Shino's ear-tips are black in colour and she wears a ragged, pale blue scarf.
Personality: Shino can be extremely shy at times, but at others, she will take to new people as if they have always been the best of friends. Shino can be rather bubbly, energetic and even a bit of a trouble maker when she's left alone. Shino likes to play practical jokes and tricks on people whether they be mimiga or android and so sometimes she adapts her jokes into traps.
Unfortunately though, Shino sometimes finds herself trusting the wrong people and often gets herself into trouble because of it. She is still young and inexperienced and so is vulnerable to manipulation.
Weapons: Her practical traps and two black magpie feathers she keeps tied to her tail. One feather enables her to transform into a Magpie for a limited period of time which ends quicker the more energy is used, The other is able to transform into a black sword that takes on a rainbow tint in certain lights, much like an actual magpie's feathers.
Skills: Speedy and nimble, Is training to handle a sword properly.

As a side note. As Shino matures, could she discover more feathers and add to her abilities?

Physical Description: Query is very scrawny compared to other androids of his line, his ears replaced with round, grey disks that take in sound and translate it to the android’s brain. Blue pawprints are painted onto the disks, and is a symbol that is emblazed upon Query’s red vest. He doesn’t wear a shirt, and his pants are simple, long sweat pants that are tattered around the ankles. His hair is a hazel brown color and his eyes are red.
Personality: Query is very simple when it comes to conversing with others, as the memory banks storing data perterning to social interactivity were erased many years ago. However, because of this error, he was not effected by the General’s call, and now fights to defend the island, his combat ability unhindered by his lack of social skills. He is very compassionate despite how awkward he can be sometimes.
Weapons: Grappler (Pulls enemies towards Query while dealing a small amount of damage, with each level lengthening the rope and increasing the damage. At lvl. 3 the grappling hook home in on the target.), Nova ( gun that shoots lance like laser projectiles at foes. At lvl. 1 the lance is small, at lvl. 2 the lance increases in size and travels further, and at lvl. 3, the lance becomes gigantic and it’s course can be changed slightly at will by it’s wielder.)
Skills: Sharpshooter, Agile, unable to be controlled by the General.

Personality: A very snarky little rabbit, Chase has a hard time showing how compassionate he truly is. It is very much like a defense mechanism to him, as he acts this way to keep from grieving over the loss of a number of his friends due to the current war. Chase is very much against the androids, even if they aren’t aiming to gun him down like the others. To him, anything that isn’t a Mimiga is a potential threat, and he’ll stop at nothing to make sure that his people are safe.
Weapons: Scythe (lvl. 1: fires a small shockwave , 2. Fires a trio of shockwaves, 3. Fires 5 shockwaves that explode on contact.)
Skills: Close quarter’s combat, agricultural skills, basic geographical knowledge, agility, acrobatic skills, intelligent.
